California Energy Commission- Transportation Technology & Fuels Office
  • Act as Commission's Program Manager for U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities Program.
  • Provide technical assistance on vehicle conversions to run on alternative fuels.
  • Coordinate and prepare Vehicle License Fee Exemption information for New Car Dealers Association for alternative fuel vehicles sold in California.
  • Act as Project Manager for Katz Safe School Bus Clean Fuel Efficiency Demonstration Program.
  • Coordinate and monitor structural, engine, powertrain and chassis defects and repairs for buses in demonstration program.
  • Provide analysis and reports on above repairs and maintenance problems for buses.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding alternative fuel vehicle programs, technical problems, and questions about program and/or converting vehicles to run on alternative fuels (both oral and written).

  • Supervise students for operation, maintenance, and servicing of Commission fleet vehicles.

  • Investigate and mediate complaints between repair facilities and consumers.
  • Act as undercover operator for statewide I/M program to determine the repair practices of automotive repair dealers, including documentation of all transactions and contacts.
  • Conduct meetings with corporate officials, attorneys, and shop personnel to review complaints and problem areas, and to explain Bureau's function in achieving compliance with the Automotive Repair Act.
